E-System Design and IdemWorks Announce a New Combined Design Flow and Mutual OEM Distribution Agreement

E-System Design, Inc., an industry leading provider of electronic design automation (EDA) tools for advanced electronic systems, and IdemWorks, srl, a provider of state of the art modeling technologies for a wide range of applications including Signal/Power Integrity and Electromagnetic compatibility issues in Digital, RF and Mixed Signal design, today announced the availability of a new design flow that allows designers to accurately simulate Signal and Power integrity for IC packaging, printed circuit boards and systems in the frequency and time domains, as well as a mutual OEM agreement to be able to resell each other's Sphinx and IdEM products. The reference flow, the result of collaboration between E-System Design and IdemWorks, adds the E-System Design, Sphinx(TM) Signal and Power Integrity Co-simulator to IdemWorks' broadband Spice extraction tool IdEM, so IC package and printed circuit board designers can immediately output frequency based simulation results or Spice for timing based simulation. The result for customers is a design flow that provides extremely accurate simulation results in both the frequency and time domains, and the ability to simulate everything from critical paths up to their entire IC package, printed circuit board and system designs for signoff.
